CEC LAHDC reviews preparations for Losar festival

NIN NEWS SERVICE | LEH, NOVEMBER 16: The Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Leh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal convened a meeting to review the preparations and arrangements for Losar festival.

CEC directed the concerned departments to do the proper arrangement in terms of essential commodities and other important services for the festival.

65th Cooperative Week Celebrated in Kupwara

Work on 6 bridges worth Rs 39.46 crore underway in Baramulla under World Bank funded JTFRP

The projects are being executed under World Bank funded JTFRP (Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project).

Handloom Development Deptt organizes publicity cum awareness camp

NIN NEWS SERVICE | KULGAM, NOVEMBER15: One-day publicity cum awareness camp was organized by Handloom Development Department under Integrated handloom development scheme here at Bugam village of Kulgam. The camp was attended by scores of locals.

The authorities emphasized on weavers to come forward to avail various benefits of the schemes of the department. The participants were urged to adopt new technology and develop new design by replacing the old pit looms to modern fly shuttle looms.

4-day consultation on ‘Child Centered Emergency Preparedness for Response’ concludes

NIN NEWS SERVICE | SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 16: A four-day conference “State Level Consultation on Child-Centered Emergency Preparedness for Response” concluded here today.

The conference was organized by Jammu and Kashmir State Disaster Management Authority (JKSDMA) in collaboration with Divisional Disaster Management Authority Kashmir and UNICEF. The focus of the conference was mainly on the topics including vulnerabilities of women, children and specially-abled groups.
