Rajendra greets cops, people on Diwali

NIN NEWS SERVICE | JAMMU, NOVEMBER 10: Director General of Police, (DGP), Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar extended warm greetings to all ranks of Jammu and Kashmir Police, their families and people of the State on the auspicious occasion of festival of lights.

In his message, Mr. Rajendra said that Diwali reminds us that we must share joy and happiness with all sections of society. He said, the occasion teaches us to rededicate ourselves in the service of people, reaffirm our commitment towards brotherhood and selfless service to humanity.

Mr. Rajendra also prayed for peace and prosperity in the State.

          RAJNI SHARMA From the beginning of 90's, the crime rate in the state showed an increasing trend. It has been due to the militancy in the Kashmir valley, where the fear of law has almost came to an end.
