Omar takes a dig at Modi, film makers of ‘The Accidental PM’

Srinagar, Jan 11: Taking a dig at the film makers of ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ and PM Narendra Modi, National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah said by most accounts you would have to be a hard core believer in the miracle of Mr Modi to waste money on a ticket.

Abdullah, who is the former chief minister of J&K, said he is glad that no one obliged the makers of the train-wreck called The Accidental PM by banning it anywhere. “By most accounts you’d have to be a hard core believer in the miracle of Modi to waste money on a ticket,” he wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.

“That’s easy enough to do so long as you see the book & the movie for what they are - an unsubtle hit job. If you can’t then you may well let the book & movie decide how you remember 2004-2014,” he wrote in response to a tweet. Abdullah was responding to the tweet, which read, “Saw #AccidentalPrimeMinister and felt very uneasy at the end of it. Just like after reading the book. I wish the book had never been written and the movie never been made. I don’t want to remember the 10 years of Dr Singh this way.” The NC VP had take a jibe at PM Modi last month after the trailer of the film, which allegedly records the decade from 2004 to 2014 when former Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh was in the office.  Anupam Kher starrer move is based on the book by the same name, written by Singh's media advisor Sanjaya Baru.
