Navin chairs Jammu Central Cooperative Bank BoD meeting

JAMMU, JANUARY 22: Principal Secretary Finance, Navin K Choudhary today asked Jammu Central Cooperative Bank (JCCB) to tide over its NPAs, while assuring full support for locating the state government employee defaulters.

Chairing the meeting of Board of Directors (BoD) of the Bank in capacity of its chairman, here today, Navin approved various recommendations of the Audit Committee of   the Bank, including disbanding of the office of District Officer and merger of non-viable branches with the nearest potential branch to cut down the administrative expenses.

Forest Deptt covering up Katha Industries scam: Harsh

Jammu, jan. 22: Pointing towards the dilly dally over the enquiry ordered  by the Govt into the issuance of licenses for Katha Industries in violation of rules, Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Minister accused the investigating agencies of connivance with the scamstars in a bid to cover up the scam. He was addressing a press conference in Jammu today.

Omar, Mehbooba again spar on twitter

Srinagar, Jan 22: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti and National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah once again entered into an argument on Twitter after the latter alleged that former J&K chief minister Mufti Mohammad Syed used to bring people in police vehicles to attend Republic and Independence Day celebrations to show how much the situation was “improving”.
