NIN NEWS SERVICE | SRINAGAR, AUGUST 31: The Committee on Public Accounts (PAC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Monday directed the officers of Public Works Department (PWD) to speed up pace of work on ongoing road projects including PMGSY and complete them in a stipulated timeframe. The Committee also asked them for utilization of funds judiciously.
This instruction was given by the Committee, chaired by MLA Mian Altaf Ahmad in a meeting convened to examine the CAG’s Audit Paras pertaining to Roads and Buildings (R&B) besides functioning of the Public Works Department here today.
NIN NEW SERVICE | SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 7: The State Cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed accorded sanction to the appointment of Mr. B R Sharma as the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir with immediate effect.
It was also decided that Mr. Sharma shall continue to hold the charge of the post of Administrative Secretary, Planning and Development Department till further orders.
