17th Wushu Championship held with Army’s Assistance

Srinagar, MAY 16: 17th District WUSHU Championship 2016 was held at Soyibug Wushu Association Budgam in collaboration with Army based at Zainakot, witnessed a massive participation.  The event saw an attendance of over 400 students from all over Budgam district.

Mehbooba meets IAS topper Athar Shafi Khan

The meeting was presided over by JKPCC Chief G.A. Mir. Prominent among other who attended the meeting include Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Gulam Nabi Azad, Former PCC President Prof. Saifuddin Soz and others. Paying rich tributes to Jenab Mufti Sahib Senior Congress Leaders
recalled his services to the people of the State in different capacities during his long political carrier and lauded his efforts about the equitable development of all the three regions of the State.

Forest encroachments, smuggling to be curbed with iron hands: Lal Singh

JAMMU, APR. 25: Minister of Forests, Environment and Ecology Choudhary Lal Singh today asked the officers of Forest department to put their sincere efforts for stopping encroachments of Forest land and smuggling of timber and fire wood, adding that it is the prime duty of every individual, as the forests are important for maintaining ecological balance and safe and secure environment.

Seminar on “Role of Youth in the preservation of Heritage” organized

NIN NEWS SERVIEC | JAMMU, NOV. 20: NSS Units of G.G.M Science College, Jammu and Gandhian Study Center have organized  a seminar on the theme “Role of Youth in the preservation of Heritage “ as part of celebration of Heritage week  under the supervision of Dr. Rajinder Singh, NSS Programme officer. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Prof. (Dr.) T.A Kawoos , Director Colleges, Higher Education Department , J&K Govt. The seminar was attended by two hundred students alongwith a number of faculty members.
