Chhattisgarh govt suspends officer who asked martyred SPO's family to return money given for funeral

Raipur: Taking a strong action, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday said the official, who issued a notice to the family of martyred Special Police Officer (SPO) Kishore Pandey for return of Rs 10,000 spent on his funeral, has been suspended, and also sought explanation from Gariaband District's Superintendent of Police.

RBI governor Raghuram Rajan gets threat mail from 'ISIS', security beefed up

Mumbai: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Raghuram Rajan has received an e-mail threatening to eliminate him.

As per reports, Rajan had received the mail earlier this month from the ID This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . As the ID bears the name of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the Mumbai Police is not taking it lightly.

Janata Parivar to be named 'Samajwadi Janata Party'; leaders fail to agree on party symbol

 

 

 

New Delhi: In an attempt to tackle the Narendra Modi-powered BJP, the six parties from the erstwhile 'Janata Parivar' have finally decided to come together and float a new political front which will be called 'Samajwadi Janata Party', reports said on Wednesday.
