17 Indian pilgrims killed as bus falls into river in Nepal

Kathmandu, apr. 22: At least 17 Indian pilgrims were killed and more than 20 were injured on Wednesday when their bus veered off the highway and plunged into a river in Nepal, police said.

IMD predicts below normal monsoon rains in 2015

 

 

 

New Delhi, apr. 22: Releasing the Indian Meteorological Department’s first forecast for 2015, Union Science and Technology Minister Harsh Vardhan, Wednesday, said that rainfall in the monsoon season from June to September is expected to be below normal.

India has potential to grow at 10%: FM Jaitley

Washington: India has the potential to make nine to 10 per cent growth rate "a new normal", Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said on Thursday while asserting that high growth was essential to meet the challenges posed by the country's burgeoning young population. "India has the potential to make nine to ten per cent its new normal in the years to come," Jaitley said in his keynote address at the day-long conference 'Deepening the US-India Commercial Partnership: The First Year of the Modi Government'.
