Moga molestation-death case: Victim's father accepts Rs 20 Lakh compensation, agrees for cremation

Moga: Ending a four-day deadlock, the family members of a teenaged girl who died after being pushed out of a bus here late Wednesday while resisting an alleged molestation bid have agreed to perform her last rites and are also ready to take compensation of Rs 20 Lakh.  “Apni beti ko ghar le jaana chahta hun, uska sanskaar karna chahta hun aam insaan ki tarah, mujhe maaf kar do (I want to take my daughter home and want to perform her last rites like a common man. I am sorry),” ANI quoted victim's father Sukhdev Singh as saying on Sunday.

Royal good news! It's a baby girl for Prince William and Kate

New Delhi: Prince William`s wife Kate Middleton on Saturday gave birth to a baby girl, who will be fourth in line to the British throne, Kensington Palace said in a statement.

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34 am," the statement said. The official Twitter handle of the Royal Palace, Kensington posted the good news online. The tweets read:

Moga bus molestation: Punjab Minister Rakhra calls victim's death 'God's will', sparks controversy

Chandigarh: Days after a 13-year-old girl died after being molested and thrown off a moving bus, Punjab Education Minister Surjit Singh Rakhra triggered a controversy after he said that the death of the victim was God's will.

 “Death of the victim was God's will,” he said. "We can always meet with an accident. We will do more for the people....What has happened is unfortunate. You cannot go against nature's will," he was quoted by PTI.

The bus is reportedly belongs to Orbit Aviation, owned by Punjab's ruling Badal family.
