Salman Khan verdict: FIR against Abhijeet, Farah Ali Khan over controversial 'tweets'

Muzaffarpur (Bihar): A district court today ordered that an FIR be registered against Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya and jewellery designer Farha Ali Khan for their remarks against people sleeping on roads following conviction of actor Salman Khan in a 2002 hit-and-run case.

'Piku' is career-best display from Deepika: Ranveer Singh

Mumbai: Actor Ranveer Singh is going gaga over the "magical performances" by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan and his rumoured ladylove Deepika Padukone in ‘Piku’. He says it's Deepika's best performance so far.

"Pure magic in th performances by @SrBachchan @irrfan_k & a career-best display from @deepikapadukone..Bravo!! (And no, I'm not being biased)," the actor posted on his Twitter page.

Rishi Kapoor back on Twitter, supports Salman Khan

New Delhi: Veteran star Rishi Kapoor, who is known for speaking his mind and staging controversies post that recently hogged the limelight for stating on his micro-blogging account that he feels the need to quit Twitter over a lot of people disrespecting seniors and the resultant negativity. However, later he was back on Twitter and posted a number of tweets extending his support to Salman Khan. The actor's 5-year jail term has been suspended by the Bombay High Court and he has been granted bail.

Bad boy to superstar, 'Dabangg' Salman Khan comes a long way

Mumbai: From being labelled as a 'bad boy' of Bollywood to the reigning superstar, Salman Khan's meteoric rise in the film industry has been equally turbulent and rewarding.

The 49-year-old actor, who was today convicted by a Mumbai court on the charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, is the second big star from Mumbai film industry after Sanjay Dutt to get embroiled in a high-profile criminal case in recent years.
